I absolutely love this product. I haven't taken it out of my car CD player since receiving it almost a month ago. I recently attended a performance of Aida and immediately went home and ordered the CD off of Amazon. It is great quality, and a wonderful balance of fun and moving music performed by skilled performers. It's a good one. If you love Broadway musicals, chances are, you'll love this music.
Quite possibly one of the best musicals ever written with a fantastic cast. I love Adam Pascal, Sherie Renee Scott and Heather Headley. The music and lyrics are beautiful and powerful and the performers voices carry the songs so well.
This is my second CD. Loved the B'way show; hence, still love listening to the CD--can't get enough.
Verdi must be rolling over in his grave. Is it possible to give negative stars. This is the most sappy music I've, and all of the songs begin to sound identical if you listen long enough. Rather than see Elton John's production or buy this soundtrack, treat yourself to the original opera.
My students and I enjoyed this CD. The fact that the words and outlineof the musical AIDA with photos of some scenes and characters were included was very helpful on making the music come alive.
